Dear Mr. Robertson,
I write on behalf of Aditya's application for a Humber Scholarship. I believe Aditya to be a brilliant student as well as a person with extraordinary character with high thinking skills. His thinking skills is very amazing especially in science. He always can solve new kind of mathematics and physic questions that given by the teacher in the class. He is also a confident student, he always raise his hand whenever the teacher ask a volunteer to answer the question in the whiteboard. Aditya is kind person, he never think twice to give help for his friends anytime they need even when he is busy doing his task. His leadership skill can be seen when he leads the entire class read al-Qur'an every morning.
Nearly two years as his classmate, I have never seen him without enthusiasm for studying. His enthusiasm and energy have been matched over the years with a discipline that is remarkable in someone his age. This discipline is not about study habits, though I would note that he always seems to be ahead of schedule like turning in assignments early. His discipline is a commitment to learning. When he did not get good grades on some lessons, he never hesitated to ask teachers and friends who were better at mastering the material. For him, arrogance and shame to ask questions will only make him retarded and not developing.
Aditya is also involved in two extracurricular outside the school that is BM and DKM. He joined Belitung Muda (BM) to develop his hobby in playing football and joined DKM because he wants to learn deeper about tauhid. He never be passive member, he always participates in every activities that held by BM and DKM. He always shows his commitments in every organisation that he enters. In fact, he was once appointed as the team captain at BM.
He has dream to be an engineer since he was a child because most of his family is from engineering department. To pursue his dream, he really wants to continue his study in Institute Technology of Bandung (ITB) because their engineering faculty is one of the best faculty in Indonesia. And to realize it, he commits to study harder.
In sum, I highly recommend Aditya for the Humber Scholarship. I believe his proposed course of study is suitable and builds on his many strengths. His studying spirit and disciplined approach to learning make him well fit to take this opportunity.
